Never Events

There are some things that happen in health care that should never happen. They are so obviously medical malpractice that medicare will not pay the hospital when they happen. Things like pressure ulcers, surgery on the wrong body part; a foreign body left in a patient after surgery; a mismatched blood transfusion; or a major medication error are all examples of never events. We have experience prosecuting claims for never events. Our clients have made hospitals and nursing homes better by bringing their claims for never events. Consider the example(s) below.
